Athletes will NOT be able to participate in training without all forms. Thank you for your cooperation!

For Beginner Students
LJFA’s Beginner Fencing Program is designed to introduce our new athletes to the sport of fencing. Ages 5 to 16 are welcome! In the Beginner Class, our new fencers focus on the intangible skills of fencing: footwork, blade work, agility, and conditioning in a safe and fun group environment.
All equipment is provided for a student taking beginner group classes and private lessons here at LJFA for the first 3 months. After that you will need to purchase your own equipment.

Both programs include Spartak Open Fencing, in which fencers independently practice and compete with other advanced fencers while our coaches strip-coach the athletes.

Private Lessons
At LJFA we emphasize that private lessons are the best way for aspiring fencers to learn the sport at the highest possible level. LJFA provides private lessons for all three fencing weapons: saber, epee, and foil. Private lessons consist of a 30-minute one-on-one session between the coach and student. The coach teaches the important skills of fencing: footwork, blade work, and strategy. We recommend beginner fencers to have private lessons at least once a week and advanced fencers at least twice a week, however, as many lessons as possible is highly recommended. LJFA members may register for private lessons through our MINDBODY Online Scheduler. Please remember that our coaches’ availability is limited.
With Dmitriy Guy (30 minutes) + equipment | $80 per Lesson |
With any other coach (30 minutes) + equipment | $60 per Lesson |
$10 per year non-competitive or $85 per year competitive ($75 renewals until October 31)
